Dubai Fitness Challenge: She Runs 2025 sets new Guinness World Record at Expo City
Thousands unite at Expo City to empower women through movement
DUBAI – History was made at Expo City Dubai as She Runs 2025 officially earned recognition from Guinness World Records for hosting the most participants in a female run event.
Held on Sunday as part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge 30x30, the 12th edition of this milestone event drew women and girls of every age and background to celebrate empowerment, inclusion, and unity.
Supported by the Dubai Sports Council in association with Dubai Fitness Challenge, and organised by Plan b Group, the record-breaking edition transformed Al Forsan Park into a sea of energy and enthusiasm under the banner “For Voices. For Connection. For Change.”
She Runs 2025
Participants competed across 1 km, 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km categories, with dedicated routes for Girls and People of Determination. The Race Village at Al Forsan Park became a vibrant hub featuring wellness activations, youth performances, and a marketplace celebrating women-led brands.
The event attracted an inspiring line-up of leaders and partners including Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council; Sheikha Saeed Al Mansouri, Acting Director General of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children; and Amna Abulhoul, Creative Executive Director of Expo City Dubai.
Also attending were UAE Transplant Athletes – Husena Beguwala, Fatima Rashid, Hind Juma and Katie Larkins – who shared remarkable stories of courage and recovery.
Powered by purpose
The success of She Runs 2025 was fuelled by support from partners such as Expo City Dubai, ASICS, FitRepublik, Medcare Hospitals, Dubai Ambulance, Tesla, Garmin, and others. Dozens of running groups including Special Olympics UAE, British Mums, Kenyan Runners UAE, and She Dares Run Club joined the movement, creating a living portrait of women in motion.
Six Community Champions – Sanjana Karia, Dr Shefali Verma, Lisa Campbell, Ava Hall, Laila Labib, and Atiqa Asif Mir – were honoured for their leadership in inspiring the next generation across Dubai Active Industry Talks and Youth Programmes.
